Half second gridiron pendulum with temperature scale suspended by spring between motion work and dial, crutch with micrometer beat adjustment. Movement with pinwheel escapement planted on rear plate having 60 pins allowing the second hand to move one revolution per minute. Inverted "Y" frame mounted on substantial black marble base. Gilt dial bezel with enamel roman chapter ring and calendar ring, pierced gilt hands and blued center seconds and calendar hands. Surmounted by subsidiary blue enamel dial with aperture for age and phase of moon. 21"h x 12"w x 6.5"d.
