Maker - in the manner of James Condliff, Liverpool, England, c. 1860. Based upon what many believe to be one of the most elegant skeleton clocks designed and Condliff's best, the series 2. Two train, rack and snail strike with bell in original base. Chonometer escapement with Earnshaw style detent. Eight day duration.  Movement 11"w x 17"h x 5"d. With base and dome 22"h.

Everything about this movement is beautiful; design and execution. A classic skeleton clock. All wheels are screwed to their collets, skeletonized spring barrels and snail work, sharp plate edges.
