TIME LOCK COLLECTION CATALOG

Click on the links to go directly to the desired time lock manufacturer. Each manufacturer is subdivided by the number of movements contained within a time lock. I found this to make sorting between locks from the same company and style easier. If you want to simply browse the collection click on the first chapter (or any chapter below) and click the next/back buttons on the navigation bars located at the top and bottom of each page. Manufacturers are arranged roughly in chronological order with the exception of Hall / Consolidated being first because I found them to be most interesting, otherwise they would fall just after Yale. This order follows the time frame when the company first entered the time lock business. Another exception is where there were mergers and buyouts. For example Mosler bought out Beard Bros, Banker's Dustproof and Ohio Time Lock, these are grouped together because there is a progression of design adopted from these entities. Hollar follows Yale, again because of their design cooperation. The other exception are the highlighted early, short-lived makers that were driven out of business or bought out and these are just after Hall / Consolidated, again they are quite interesting and represent the period of time when innovation was greatest. Introduction pages in brown text are available, in black are yet to be written.
